And I am a resident of Brevard County and I am very concerned about the pending closure of The Rockledge Hospital/Wuesthoff. Orlando Health is planning to permanently close this vital facility and has no plans to complete the building of a new hospital for many years.

I believe this action is a grave mistake, and will create a Healthcare desert in a Medically Underserved Area. Orlando Health will abandon our most vulnerable patients, leaving them without local and accessible acute and chronic medical care.

I believe the Governor should explore options for keeping our lifesaving Hospital open, and intervene as permitted by law. 

 PLEASE ASK THE GOVERNOR TO DECLARE A HEALTHCARE STATE OF EMERGENCY FOR BREVARD COUNTY.
